Training costs

The legal private helicopter pilot training program requires a minimum experience of 45 flight hours. Based on our experience, an average candidate will need 70 to 80 flying hours in order to obtain the private helicopter pilot license – PPL (H).

The training costs mainly depend on the helicopter type and the number of flying hours. Additional costs include the medical examination, student-pilot license, course syllabus, books and charts, flight equipment, theoretical training and examination costs. The total amount varies between 25,000 and 35,000 € depending on the foreknowledge and skills of the candidate.
