Safety first

Heli Service Belgium guarantees that its flights are compliant with the international aviation standards. Obviously we are as much interested in safety as you are. That’s why we focus intensely on the maintenance of our helicopters and their operational safety. Our pilots’ professional knowledge is checked on a yearly basis. Safety is the number one standard for all flying activities at HSB.

Safety on board of our helicopters

All passengers receive an extensive safety briefing before the flight, including the operation of the doors, safety belts and the general safety rules concerning the helicopter.

Special briefing cards with safety instructions for each passenger are also available on board. After boarding you will be asked to wear your safety belts. The doors of the passengers cabin can only be opened and locked by the pilot or his assistant. According to legislation, it is obligatory to put off (OFF) your mobile phone on board of all aircraft. You are allowed to switch it on only after leaving the helicopter. Please do accept that a captain (pilot) can decide to delay or cancel the departure if the weather would not be favorable. A pilot can also refuse people to check into a helicopter, e.g. when they are intoxicated by alcohol or drugs in such a manner that they could represent a danger for the helicopter or for other passengers, or if the could would discomfort other passengers.
